Nancy glared at Judson, who was leaning against the doorframe. She was clearly not happy. "Just back off!"

She had intended to offer Judson shelter for the night, but he had crossed the line, roughing up Orlando the way he did.

However, Judson pressed forward, barging in and giving Nancy a hard look. A chill seemed to pour off him in waves. Even the air seemed to freeze over.

"Get out. You think I'm truly your wife or something..." Nancy's cold voice trailed off as Judson's strong arms wrapped around her slender waist again, pulling her into a tight embrace before she could react. Judson's familiar scent enveloped her.

"Judson!" Nancy raised her voice in irritation again.

"Nancy, if you won't let me call you my wife, and you won't admit I'm your husband, so, are you seriously saying you're into that blonde homewrecker?"

Nancy was stunned. "Blonde homewrecker? You mean Orlando?"

She should've been furious, yet somehow, the bottom of her heart found the humor in it. "Orlando isn't a homewrecker."
