Chapter 231

As the sticky beer trickled down from his head, Cyrus instinctively reached up to wipe it off, then immediately looked up in dismay.

There stood Judson at the open window.

Their eyes met, and Judson glared down at him, his face cold and full of scorn and anger. It was as if he was silently laughing at Cyrus for overstepping his bounds.

Cyrus' temper flared, his fists clenching tightly. Fine, just fine! This was a slight he wouldn't forget. "Mr. Gordon, let's get you to the car. You wouldn't want Mrs. Gordon to see you like this..." Caleb suggested, his voice shaking.

Cyrus certainly didn't want that. He turned, opened the car door, and slammed it shut behind him. Though his face was hidden, the fire in his dark eyes was almost visible, and the temperature in the car seemed to drop several degrees.

Just then, Cyrus' phone rang, and he answered it coldly, "Speak."

A shaky voice came through the line, "Mr. Gordon, bad news! Someone exposed The Gordon Group for embezzlement, and even the VP has been detained. You need to come back right away..."

Cyrus' eyes widened in shock and he asked, "What did you say?"
