"What kind of talk is that? That fool can't give your mom the love she deserves, but I sure can!"

Hank was clearly displeased with the conversation and noticed the caution in Judson's eyes. "Relax, kiddo. Your old man won't stand in the way of you and Nancy, but I can't say the same for Brad."

A cold glint appeared in Judson's eyes. "I don't need you reminding me. The traitor has already shown his face."

Hank gave a barely perceptible nod. "Good to know you have a backup plan. Since you're so fond of Nancy, make sure you protect her well. Don't end up like me, losing what matters most."

Judson's face turned pale as Hank's words sank in.

"You've blown off enough steam. The sun's almost up. Better get back to Nancy; she's probably waking up by now."

Judson knew this without Hank's reminder. He cast a sharp glance at Michael. Michael stood still. "Mr. Buchanan, we'll be on our way then."

"Go ahead. Let's share a drink sometime," Hank said with a playful raise of his brow.

Michael paused, then flashed a congenial smile. "Of course, it would be an honor."

As the conversation ended, Judson and Michael turned to leave.

Once Judson was out of sight, Hank's smile faded. He turned his thoughtful gaze to the computer screen, which displayed unsettling footage of John being ruthlessly dealt with.
