The Secret Pregnancy of the Billionaire's Ex-Wife

Chapter 175: The Deleted Text That Destroyed Everything

Sean POV

Christina's face immediately regained its composure, her practiced mask of innocence sliding back into place. The momentary slip I'd caught was gone as quickly as it had appeared. She forced a light, confused laugh.

"What are you talking about? Me borrowing your phone? That was five years ago, Sean. She tilted her head, looking puzzled, "Why bring that up now?"

I kept my gaze fixed on her, trying to control the storm brewing inside me. "Why did you do it, Christina?"

Her breath caught for a fraction of a second, doubt flashing in her eyes. I saw it clearly-that momentary panic of someone whose lies were being exposed.

"Do what? I just helped clean up some spam messages." She laughed nervously. "Is that some kind of problem?"

"I never mentioned anything about deleted messages," I said quietly, watching her face carefully.

Her eyes widened slightly before she caught herself. Too late-I'd noticed her reaction. That message wasn't spam at all. It confirmed everything I'd begun to suspect.

I tightened my grip around her wrist, my fingers digging in with increasing pressure. "What exactly happened that day, Christina?"

"Sean, you're hurting me..." she whimpered, her eyes filling with tears.

I ignored her discomfort, my anger growing by the second. "That message was from Angela, wasn't it? About her pregnancy?"
