She Left With His Baby The Billionaire’s Secret Scandal 299

The Secret Pregnancy of the Billionaire's Ex-Wife

Chapter 299: I'm Sorry, Angela, I Messed Up Again

Christopher POV

She looked more beautiful in her wedding dress than I had imagined. The white lace hugged her figure perfectly, catching the light as she moved down the aisle.

I stood in the shadows at the back of the venue, just another face in the crowd of New York's elite. No one noticed me. All eyes were on Angela, as they should be.

Sean waited at the altar, his face a picture of restrained joy. When Angela reached him, he took her hands in his, and I could see his fingers trembling slightly. For all his faults, there was no denying what I saw in his eyes. He loved her.

I turned toward the exit, my footsteps soundless on the thick carpet. That's when I heard the first shout, followed by a commotion near the entrance to the reception hall.

A woman burst through the doors, her face partially covered by a mask that couldn't hide the rage in her eyes. Security moved toward her immediately, but she was surprisingly quick, dodging their attempts to restrain her.

"Angela Wilson!" she screamed, her voice echoing through the suddenly silent hall.

I recognized her instantly-Jennifer. The woman who had kidnapped Angela five years ago, nearly causing her to lose the twins. The woman whose face now bore scars from a prison "lesson" I had arranged. I didn't regret it. Not when I remembered how Angela had looked in that hospital bed, pale and terrified, her hands protectively cradling her barely-showing pregnancy.

But now, seeing Jennifer's scarred face and the hatred burning in her eyes, I understood the consequences of my actions had come full circle.

Sean's security team surrounded her quickly. They began escorting her out, and for a moment, I thought the crisis had been averted. The wedding guests murmured among themselves, some reaching for their phones, undoubtedly eager to share the drama on social media.
