I alighted at the gates of my pack and from the minute I passed through, getting the stink eye from the guards, I should have known that my day was about to get progressively worse.

Unfortunately for me. I had arrived at a time when everyone was closing from work and when they saw me walking the streets with my bag chatched tightly to my side, they whispered and murmured amidst themselves.
