“Don’t you still have to go to the club?” Melanie asked.

Yvonne shrugged. “It’s still early. Let’s go together after you’re done. I’m just going for a facial appointment, anyway.”

Melanie’s work for the day was relatively simple. They were planning to redo some basic infrastructure along the street, so she had to ask every household to sign a form and agree to fork out a small sum of money.
