Xander’s status said he was typing for a long time. Melanie felt a headache coming on as she watched the jumping dots. She threw back the covers and prepared to get out of bed so she could wash up in the bathroom.

However, before her feet touched the ground, Eugene spoke up. “Do you want to take a shower or wash up?”

Melanie’s face was expressionless. “What does that have to do with you?”

Eugene’s expression was equally cold. “The doctor said that you shouldn’t get out of bed today. It’s best if you don’t take a shower either. I can help you wash up slightly.”

Melanie paused. If she could not get out of bed, who else could she turn to for help?
