I woke up this morning feeling refreshed, last night was the first time in a long while that I hadn’t woken up without a nightmare, which was surprising to me, given the events of last night. My face flushed red as I thought of Nikolai feeding me his blood. He had healed me when he could have let me die for not obeying his orders. I had heard so many horror stories of the Vampire King; the leader of all supernaturals, but I’m now starting to wonder if those stories were just that, stories.
