After work, Jasper returned home to find a note on the fridge, alongside gifts on the cabinet and the black card he had given to Imogen earlier. Feeling irritated, he loosened his tie, shed his coat, and threw it onto the bed. Sitting on the edge, he leaned forward with his hands cradling his forehead. He closed his eyes, his breaths deepening with each passing moment.
