Chapter 0315

Lottie POV

"Let him go, 'Fluffy'. We still need him," Astaroth's voice cut through the moment, laced with irritation. But Fluffy didn't flinch, her entire focus remained locked on me, her teeth bared, the low growl rumbling deep from her chest vibrating the air between us. She awaited my command, not his.

"Well, isn't that unfortunate," Astaroth groaned, shaking his head, his voice dripping with exasperation. "It seems she's bonded with you... damn beast," he added. But his words felt false, theatrical even. I met his gaze, standing taller, the fire of defiance burning in my chest. Memories-blurred and fragmented-flooded back: secret meetings, pain, and suffering, deals sealed with darkness, betrayal, and rejection. The rejection was a lie; I knew that now. But the sting of that false rejection still echoed in my heart.

This scum-this demon-had tricked me. He tricked Knox and Kane into agreeing to a deal so that he could get his hands on my unborn daughter. He offered us help, the "help" coming in the deceitful form of my mates in bed with that whore. The betrayal hurt, but what cut even deeper was the knowledge that Knox and Kane had lived all this time remembering everything. They missed out on this pregnancy, missed out on the life they had helped create, on watching it grow and bloom inside me. And my pups-our pups-had been deprived of their fathers' voices, their gentle touches, and tender caresses.

Because of this man....

This demon.

"Seems that way," I replied coolly, my voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions swirling within me. I could feel Astaroth's eyes boring into me, his expression shifting as he read my thoughts, sensing the murderous intent brewing beneath my calm exterior. He knew he knew what I was thinking.

And he knew that when all this was over, I would find a way to kill him. It wasn't a threat. It was a promise.

The balance of power had shifted, and we both felt it. The tension crackled in the air, alive and charged. Fluffy remained at my side, her unwavering loyalty a testament to this new dynamic. I wasn't just the victim anymore. I wasn't the pawn in someone else's game. I was the Lycan heir.

I locked eyes with Sebastian, the man who had tried to destroy me, and with ice-cold certainty, I gave the command.

"Kill him," I ordered. There was no hesitation in my voice, no flicker of doubt. This had to be done. 'He' had to be dealt with. He had caused enough pain, enough suffering. And I was finished playing the victim.
