“Oh?” Ferris blinked in surprise, but then a thin smile curled across his lips. He turned slowly to Cordell. “I guess it’s time.”

“Sir, your orders?”

“Tell the men at the warehouse…” Ferris paused, savoring the moment. “It’s time. Take action.”

Cordell bowed slightly. “Understood, sir.”

“Mr. Flynn!”

Phillips rushed forward as Eric stepped out, his face etched with worry. He looked Eric over anxiously, as if expecting to see blood. “Are you okay?”
