Clark shook his head. "How could that be? I just hope you understand that someone with nothing can be fearless." He turned and left after speaking.

Back in the car, Clark shook his sleeve, and a knife fell out, its blade glinting coldly.

He picked it up and sneered. If Damon hadn't agreed earlier, this knife would have been pressed against Nyla's neck.
