Chapter 12
“Yulia, why are you so innocent? Even your father’s heart attack hasn’t changed her mind. What makes you think that she will give up ingratiating the Wexler’s family now? Something must have happened in the company and Yvonne couldn’t handle it. That’s why they are in such a hurry to ask you back. They want you to take the blame,” sniggered Skylar.
“If that’s the case, as the former CEO of the company, shouldn’t I help when the company is in trouble? After all, it doesn’t bring me any good if something happens to the Sue family,” Yulia said, hesitating.
“Well, if you insist to help, wait until they come for you. Do they really think they can do whatever they want?” Skylar snorted.
“But…”
“Just do as I said. It’s getting late. Let’s send Lola to the kindergarten first.” After saying that, Skylar carried Lolo and walked out of the door.
Yulia had no choice but to follow him.
When the three of them reached the gate, they met Lincoln and Betty who had just come back from their morning walk.
“Yulia, your grandma called just now and asked you to go back to work?” Lincoln asked. He seemed excited.
“Did Grandma call you too?” Yulia asked. “Perhaps Skylar is right. Something must have happened to Kareem Fashion. Otherwise, Grandma won’t call everyone so eagerly,” she wondered.
“Then why are you still standing there? Go change and go to work!” urged Betty.
Yulia forced a smile and wanted to say something but Skylar, who was standing next to her, interrupted, “Well, I’ve told Yulia to wait for Madam Sue, Charles, and Yvonne to come to beg her before going back.”
Hearing that, both Lincoln and Betty were shocked. “What? Wait for them to come to beg Yulia? What is he talking about?” they gasped.

“Skylar, whom do you think you are? How dare you interfere in our family affairs? Mother called Lincoln and asked Yulia to go back to work, which means she won’t kick us out! Do you know the consequences if you do this?” Betty berated.
“Trust me. They will come,” Skylar said calmly and got into the car with Lola in his arms.
“Is he trying to get us into trouble?” Seeing Yulia drive her car away, Betty was so angry that she stamped her feet.
“Does he really have a way to let Mother and Charles come?” Lincoln wondered.
Hearing that, Betty couldn’t help but sneer, “Stop daydreaming! Since Mother took over the company, she only has eyes for Charles and his family. She never takes you and Yulia seriously. You’re also her son, but look at what you’ve done?” Betty began to blame Lincoln again.
Lincoln seemed frustrated and was getting more annoyed with Skylar.
After sending Lola to school, Yulia frowned as she scrolled her mouse, looking at the hiring advertisements on the computer screen. She didn’t think her grandmother would come to beg her to go back to work. Her hope to go back to work vanished as soon as Skylar rejected the offer. She had no choice but to find a way out for herself in advance.
On the other hand, Skylar, the one who started the whole thing, calmly sat aside and played games on his mobile phone.
Seeing that, Yulia was so angry that she wanted to throw the ashtray on the coffee table at his head. However, although Skylar was reckless, he always stood up and protect Yulia without any reason. Yulia had no choice but sigh helplessly.
Lincoln and Betty were picking green peppers in the small vegetable garden when a black BMW stopped at the gate of their house.
Two people got out of the car. They were Yvonne and Charles.
”Charles and Yvonne! They are really here!” Lincoln exclaimed. However, in the next moment, his eyes widened like bells.
“Mom is here too?” Betty asked in disbelief.
As soon as Charles and Yvonne got off the car, Charles opened the back door and helped Madam Sue get off.
“Mom, why are you here? Just give me a call if you need anything.” Lincoln was surprised.
Betty couldn’t help but nod too. “Lincoln’s right. You no need to come personally.”
Nonetheless, Madam Sue glanced at them and asked, “Where is Yulia? I heard that she is sick.”
Lincoln was shocked. Yulia was busy looking for a job in the living room. “What if Mother finds out she pretended to be sick?” he gasped. “Yulia never lied. It must be Skylar’s idea.”
“Yulia, Grandma heard that you were sick and is here to see you!” Betty shouted. She wanted to hint at Yulia beforehand.
Unexpectedly, Skylar came out right at that time and said, “Yulia is not sick. She’s looking for a job online right now.”
“Damn it!” Skylar’s words almost scared Lincoln and Betty to death. “Skylar! Get out of here!”
