“What are you talking about, Uncle Charles? I didn’t have Yvonne arrested!” Yulia was confused.
“Who else would do that? A group of police came to my house and brought Yvonne away for slandering you!” Charles accused Yulia.
Yulia frowned. “So, Yvonne is also involved in Nicholas’ fake video about me?”
“How would I know? Probably Charles framed Yvonne!” Charles hesitated.
“Whatever. I want you to go to the police station, retract your statement and ask them to release Yvonne!”
“I…” Yulia looked at Skylar helplessly.
Skylar knew Yulia was too kind to reject. So, he took over the phone. “Charles, your daughter did something illegal, and she should bear the consequences,” said Skylar. “Also, Yulia is the victim. If you keep pestering her, I will send you to the police too.”
“Skylar Stone, how dare you…” Charles almost exploded over the phone.
Before Charles could finish yelling, Skylar hung up the phone.
“Do you think it’s fine to leave it like this?” asked Yulia hesitantly.
The phone rang again when Skylar was about to answer.

It was Madam Sue.
“Yulia, Yvonne might have unintentionally hurt you because of the stress of taking over the company. Luckily the incident did not cause harm, and the police clarified it too. Can you forgive Yvonne this time? She wouldn’t be able to attend the retirement ceremony for Dragon Commander tomorrow if she is detained. That would affect the future of the Sue family.”
“Also, if you send Nicholas to jail, the Wexler family might retract their business with us. Then, our cash flow would be severed. Yulia, you are part of the Sue family. We are on the same ship. If the Sue family goes down, you would be affected too.”
“Grandma, I…” Yulia started to waver after hearing Madam Sue’s words.
“Stop thinking! I’m now at Northville Police Station. Come here and retract the police report.” Madam Sue hung up the phone before Yulia had a chance to decline.
“Yulia, what happened?” asked Lincoln.
So, Yulia briefly explained the situation to Lincoln.
Meanwhile, Madam Sue made a phone call to Betty.
Betty seemed rather pleased after answering the call.
After she hung up the phone, Betty immediately urged Yulia. “Stop dillydally! Go to the police station now and retract the police reports on Yvonne and Nicholas.”
“Skylar, maybe we’ll just let this go this time?” asked Yulia gently after consideration.
“You make the call.” Skylar nodded. He did not want to put Yulia in a difficult position.
“So, I’ll go to Northville Police Station, and you’ll stay here and keep Lola company,” said Yulia.
Skylar could tell that Yulia was somewhat unwilling. Everyone had blackmailed Yulia with the future of the Sue family. As part of the Sue family, Yulia had no choice but to swallow her dignity and follow their requests.
“You don’t need to go there in person. I can make a call.” Then, Skylar walked out and called Dianne.
“Tell the Northville Police Station to release Nicholas Wexler and Yvonne Sue.”
“Yes, sir!” said Dianne respectfully.
“I heard that the Wexler family got their invitation to the retirement ceremony through connection. Cancel their invitation but don’t inform them!”
“Yes, sir!” answered Dianne. Then, she started to make the arrangement.
Skylar went back into the house. “I took care of it. You must be tired. Get some rest in your room. I’ll play with Lola,” said Skylar to Yulia.
“That’s it?” asked Yulia in disbelief.
