When Terry arrived, Ryan jumped to his feet and said, "Uncle Terry, you're finally here!"

Andrew also stood up and said with a flattering grin on his face, "Mr. Pearson, my son is still young and ignorant; it's presumptuous of him to bother you to come all the way to our house."

Terry waved his hand and replied, "No problem."

He tried to look calm and said, "I've been busy with official duties for the past few days and couldn't find the time to do that. However, I have invited a powerful man to Sconvia out of concern for our safety. Later, I'll go to Lucas Manor with him. I want to see for myself who is more formidable, the petty grandson-in-law of the Lucases or me."

The second part of Terry's speech, in which he invited a powerful man, was true, but the first part was a lie.

Back in Lucas Manor, Skylar had laid hands on him. He even forced him to kneel and apologize to him. How could Terry swallow such a public humiliation given by a greenhorn youngster?

"Skylar, I'm surprised you dared to step foot in my house!" Ryan sneered icily.

Belinda and Peach also sneered from the side. They thought Skylar had walked into a trap.

Skylar raised an eyebrow, and his gaze fell on Terry when he said this, "Why wouldn't I dare? Terry, would you still be going home in one piece and sitting here if it weren't for Geoffrey and Clara pleading for you back in Lucas's manor?"
