Chapter 884 What Are You Doing?

Secretary Wesley sat at the banquet's main table near the front, with Alejandro and Victor naturally accompanying him.

Everyone had arrived, except for the new Chief of Nirth, who was nowhere to be seen.

After another half-hour of waiting, Alejandro had had enough and carefully asked Mr. Wesley, "Mr. Wesley, we've all been waiting a long time; is the Chief behind schedule?"

All eyes in the room were fixed on Wesley, full with anticipation.

Wesley couldn't help himself and pulled out his phone, adding, "I'll call the Chief and ask if we should wait any longer."

He stepped away to make the call as soon as he finished speaking.

His expression darkened not long after the call was connected.

Alejandro couldn't wait to hang up the phone and inquire, "Mr. What did the Chief say, Wesley?"

"Alejandro, what are you doing?" Wesley raged."

"What?"

Everyone on the scene was terrified to death.

Why did the chief's secretary lose his cool so quickly?

Alejandro was similarly taken aback; it took him a moment to respond, and he hurriedly bowed and inquired, "Mr. Wesley, what are the Chief's instructions? Please educate me."

Alejandro was breaking out in a cold sweat at this time.

Originally, the lavish welcoming party was held to please the incoming chief.

But the Chief hadn't arrived yet, and Mr. Wesley lost his cool, leaving him hopelessly befuddled.

"Humph! Do you want me to spell it out for you?"

"The Chief told me that he was at the door just now," Wesley said, "but your Miller family told him to get lost, so naturally he wouldn't stay."

"What? Was the Chief at the hotel's door?"

Many onlookers were taken aback and immediately scoured their minds for a figure who could be the chief.

Alejandro, on the other hand, was terrified by Wesley's final comments and quickly cursed, "Who is the bastard who dared to let the Chief leave? Was the fool d*mned blind or something?"

"Mr. Don't be upset, Wesley; I'll send someone to look into it right away. If the person is actually from the Miller family, I will remove him off the tree and never allow him to return!"

Alejandro, who had spent most of his life in business, was astute and devious.

He was well aware that he couldn't refute it at this point; he had to accept Wesley's remarks.

He didn't know who in the Miller family had offended the new chief, and if he had truly enraged Wesley, their Miller family's desire to make friends with the Chief was unlikely to come true.
