Chapter 22 She Doesn't Deserve It

When they got to the Cooper Mansion, Sam trailed behind Leon, still unsure if he should talk to him.

Leon was in a foul mood. If Sam started a conversation, would Leon lash out at him? Maybe he wouldn't get any answers and just end up getting punished.

After much thought, Sam mustered his courage and called out, "Daddy," determined to finally seek the truth about the divorce.

Leon was about to head into the study when he heard "Barry" calling him. He stopped and turned, looking puzzled.

"Daddy, I have a question." "Barry" nervously walked over and looked up at Leon.

"What is it?" Leon frowned, thinking "Barry" was going to ask about Tiffany again. Sure enough, "Barry's" next words were, "Daddy, you never want to talk about the divorce with Mommy. Why? Is it because you really don't like her and got tired of her?" This wasn't the first time "Barry" had asked this. Leon wasn't as angry as the first time, but he was still confused. Why did "Barry" always bring this up?

"Barry, did you go see her again?" Leon asked directly, sounding pretty sure.

"Daddy, I..." Sam wanted to say no. He hadn't seen Tiffany in the past few days. It was Barry who was with Tiffany, while he stayed with Leon.

"Barry, Tiffany's a stranger now. Listen to me. She left you for another man, to have a child. How can she still be your mom?"

Sam's eyes widened, feeling something was off.

"Damon, take Barry to rest." Leon rubbed his forehead and went back to the study.
