Chapter 30 Isn't Mr. Cooper Happy?

The next day, Tiffany showed up at the Vertex Holdings Group building. She never thought she'd be back here after five years, and it hit her right in the feels.

Back when she and Leon had just tied the knot, Tiffany had promised herself she'd be the perfect wife. So, she got Leon's company address from Jujia and decided to surprise him with lunch.

She arrived all excited, but didn't dare to spill the beans about her and Leon. The receptionist thought she was just another woman chasing after Leon and wouldn't let her in.

Leon and Tiffany had agreed to keep their marriage on the down-low, so she had to play along. Feeling a bit awkward, she stood outside with the lunch box and called Leon, hoping he'd come out.

But Leon was in a meeting with his phone on silent, so he had no clue what was going

on.

Tiffany's hand was all sweaty holding the phone. She didn't want to mess up Leon's work, so she waited outside until the food got cold, and still no word from him.

After three hours, Leon finally showed up. She ran over, happy as a clam, but Leon ignored her, and his secretary stopped her, thinking she was just another fan.

She watched his car drive away, feeling crushed. When he got back, Leon just told her not to bring lunch to the office anymore. Later, she found out Leon had left to meet a client.

Thinking back, Tiffany just laughed it off. It was all in the past. She wasn't going to bend over backward for Leon like she did five years ago.

Taking a deep breath, Tiffany walked into the company, where the receptionist stopped her. "Hello, Miss. Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked politely.

"Grant invited me over," Tiffany smiled and showed her phone with the text messages from Grant.

The receptionist checked it out and made a call.

After a bit, the receptionist personally led Tiffany inside. "Miss Grey, this way please. Mr. Wall is waiting for you in Mr. Cooper's office."

Tiffany nodded and took the elevator to the sixth floor.

When she stepped out, she was surprised to see Leon's office taking up the whole floor.
