Chapter 78 Does It Still Hurt?

Tiffany couldn't help herself and blurted out, "Leon, what about your principles?"

She usually stayed out of Leon's business, but what Bronte did was just too much. Was it just because Bronte was the one he'd been searching for? Did Leon care so much about that person from five years ago that he'd let Bronte do whatever she wanted, even if it meant hurting others?

Leon didn't rush to answer Tiffany's question. He just looked at her for a few seconds. "Tiffany, that night five years ago, did you and I..."

"No," Tiffany cut him off, her tone firm.

But the three kids seemed to sense some juicy gossip, looking at them with excitement.

The three kids, however, sensed some intriguing gossip, their eyes lighting up with excitement. They hadn't pieced everything together yet, but from what Leon hinted, it seemed highly likely that Tiffany was the person from that night. If that was true, maybe there was hope that Leon and Tiffany could mend their relationship.

Leon's face darkened; he didn't expect Tiffany to deny it so cleanly and decisively, which frustrated him.

Sensing the tension, Sam decided to try and lighten the mood. He understood some issues couldn't be rushed, and perhaps it was best to give Leon and Tiffany more time together.

Clearing his throat, he suggested, "Great-grandpa is home alone now, waiting for news about Mommy. How about I take Barry and Flora back, and we can have Damon prepare some food to bring over? We can also share the good news that Mommy has woken up."

Barry and Flora didn't want to leave at first, but when they saw Sam winking at them, they got the hint and obediently stood by his side.

"Mommy, we'll go back with Sam first and come to see you later," Flora said sweetly.
