The living room fell silent for a moment. Yara hadn't expected a former nanny who had worked for her family would dare to speak to her like this. She raised her hand, ready to hit Viola.

Hannah stepped forward to stop her. "Ma'am, Madam Viola is in poor health. You cannot just strike her. If you do, I will call the police."

Yara's hand froze in midair, and she sneered. "Madam'? She's just a penniless old hag who got lucky taking care of my daughter. Now that my daughter and son-in-law have money, they support her, and she thinks she's a lady of high society." Hannah was somewhat surprised. She had always thought that Viola was Yvette's mother. To her surprise, it turned out Yvette's mother was the woman before her.

On closer inspection, there was some resemblance, but their attitudes and demeanors were so different. Yara was sharp-tongued and rude.

Realizing Yara was her employer's biological mother, Hannah decided not to say much and just watched from the side.

Viola, facing Yara's scorn, retorted, "Although I'm poor, I have my pride. I live without relying on men, unlike some people who leech off of their children."

Yara now understood where Yvette got her temper from-it was all from this woman in front of her. She raised her hand again, and before Hannah could react, she pushed Viola to the ground.

Viola, who was already in poor health, started coughing violently after being pushed.
