Before he could utter a word, a group of waiters walked up the stairs to the second floor, each with a bottle of cognac in their hands. They lined up, walked into each private room, and placed the bottles on the tables. Wayne walked behind the waiters and finally saw Everly in one of the rooms.

There were more than ten people in the room. About five of the men in the room wore suits. The remaining people were women dressed in revealing clothes who were there to entertain the men. Everly was between two men. Wayne's expression darkened when he saw her there.

Everly saw Wayne too. She didn't expect him to be able to get to the second floor. To prevent him from making a fuss right then and there, she got up, made up the excuse of using the restroom, and left the room. The moment she stepped out of the room, she grabbed Wayne's hand and pulled him all the way to the stairwell.

"Why are you with Marcus? You promised you wouldn't see him again!" Wayne hissed.

The dress Everly wore was revealing too. It blatantly exposed her cleavage and thighs, which angered Wayne even more.

"Look at you! What are you even wearing? How could you come to a place like this? Marcus brought you here, didn't he?" Wayne snapped.

Everly was very much displeased at Wayne. He started yapping the moment they met.

She said, "Why aren't you asking me about the kind of life I've been leading these days?"

"Why did you come here? Why didn't you answer my calls?" Wayne spat.

The words were caught in Everly's throat. Furious, she started thinking that all this happened because Wayne took Hera's side.
