Chapter 284

After leaving the Sullivan family, Amara was deep in thought about the whole situation.

She figured there was an eighty percent chance that Elowen was involved, possibly with Fiona pulling the strings. Without Fiona, it was hard to imagine Elowen coming up with the idea of using a silencer on her own.

If Fiona was truly behind this, things were going to get tricky. But Amara had faith in the police. She believed that with time, the truth would eventually come to light.

Shaking off the dark cloud that had settled over her thoughts, Amara decided to pay a visit to the hospital to see Finnian.

Right after the explosion, she'd quickly covered her nose and mouth with a damp cloth. Even though Finnian had been in the flames for a shorter time than she had, he ended up with carbon monoxide poisoning, while she did not.

Logically speaking, Finnian's injuries weren't minor; he should have stayed in the hospital a few more days. But when Amara arrived, she found him in the process of checking out, with Liliana by his side.

Feeling like she had come at the wrong time, she turned to leave, just as Finnian's eyes caught her retreating figure.

"Amara!" he called out.
