Chapter 386

He let out a long breath, staring out the window as darkness clouded his eyes.

The moment he learned that Amara might have slept with Hogan, it felt as if his world had shattered-he simply couldn't accept it.

But now, thinking back, he'd already decided to let Amara go. It shouldn't matter to him who she was with anymore. So why did his heart still ache for her, no matter how hard he tried to move on?

He clenched his fists so tightly that his nails left marks in his palms. After a few seconds, he loosened his grip, his face returning to its usual cool composure. He started the car and drove away.

After Finnian punched him, Hogan felt as if all his teeth were loose. He went back inside, intending to patch himself up, but as Mr. Finnian Everly, he wasn't exactly skilled at first aid. So he called the family doctor and had him come over to take care of it.

The next morning, as soon as he woke, yesterday's events came flooding back.

Even after a full night's sleep, his anger hadn't faded. He stormed out without breakfast, heading straight for Liliana's lounge.
