On Monday, Charlene was back at The Henderson Group for another meeting.

Thorne also had a packed schedule that day, so, unlike before, he didn't make the trip downstairs to sit in on Charlene's meeting himself.

That didn't stop him from keeping tabs, though. As soon as her meeting ended, Coy and Josh overheard him asking, "Is the meeting downstairs finished? Has the follow-up proposal been sent up yet? If it's here, bring it to me."

Thorne's habit of attending Charlene's meetings in person wasn't exactly a secret; Coy and Josh had both noticed it before. Now, hearing his question, they exchanged a quick glance, then looked at the pile of paperwork stacked on Thorne's desk.

With Thorne heading out of town on business the next day, every document on his desk had to be reviewed and signed off before he left. In contrast, the meeting Charlene had just finished was about a project that wouldn't officially kick off for another month.
