Stephanie’s voice cur through the tension. “Is Mrs. Blackwood really that important to him? I’ve made two trips already”

She is, Elliot replied.

Stephanie really didn’t want to be here, especially since visiting the old woman’s room meant passing Olivia’s.

Seeing Chris, Tyler, and Catlin standing there like statues, as if struck by lightning, made her even more uncomfortable.

Elliot nodded, “Understood.”

They quickened their pace.

When they returned after visiting Mrs. Blackwood again, Olivia’s room door was closed, and the trio was gone.
