Chapter 100

Sebastian stood at the door.

Hearing Stephanie say she was tired, a subtle smile flashed across his eyes.

He glanced at his watch and said, “It’s already nine o’clock.”

“I’m really exhausted. I want to sleep a little longer.”

“I’m coming in.”

Wait, what? Why is he coming in?!

Stephanie panicked. “I’m getting up right now!”

The moment she heard Sebastian was about to enter, Stephanie was flustered. She hurriedly pulled up the collar of her shirt, wrapping it tightly around her neck.

Sebastian reminded her, “Hurry up. Breakfast has been reheated several times already.”

“Got it.”

Inside the room, Stephanie felt like crying.

She rummaged through her wardrobe for a scarf but found that it was too small to cover the marks. In the end, she just grabbed a thick muffler and wrapped it tightly around her neck.

When she finally went downstairs, she saw Sebastian sitting on the sofa and working on some business matters with a laptop on his lap.

Hearing her footsteps, Sebastian turned around and saw the dark circles under her eyes.

“You really didn’t sleep well?”

Stephanie responded with a hum.

With her heart racing all night, how could she possibly fall asleep?

Judging from Sebastian’s expression, Stephanie felt as if he had already forgotten everything that had happened after he got drunk.

The thought made her feel even more frustrated.

‘It’s a good thing he hadn’t gone all the way with me. If he had and then forgotten everything, how would I even make him take responsibility?‘

Sebastian noticed the muffler around her neck. “Are

you

cold?”

“No, not at all,” Stephanie blurted out instinctively.

The moment the words left her mouth, she regretted them.

Sure enough, Sebastian immediately questioned, “If you’re not cold, why are you bundling up like that?”

The room was set to a constant temperature, so there was no need for extra layers.

Stephanie was at a loss for words.
