Chapter 106

Under the bamboo grove, in a small cabin, Elliot walked over with Jackson behind him. Inside, only Sebastian was there, sipping his tea. Jackson quickly stepped forward. “Mr. Giovanni.”

Sebastian set down his teacup and slowly looked up, his cold gaze sweeping over Jackson.

Behind Jackson, Landyn Hayes felt that look hit him like a blast of freezing air, and he immediately lowered his eyes.

This man’s presence was suffocating.

So this was the brother who raised Stephanie?

With a man like that backing her, Landyn knew the Harts and Chris were done for.

They really had no idea what they were walking into.

Sebastian spoke calmly, but his words were sharp as knives. “You’re asking Stefi to pay you back for something?”

Landyn swallowed hard, feeling that chill seep into his bones.

Jackson’s stomach dropped too. “Of course not, Mr. Giovanni. I’d never dare.”

Jackson cleared his throat. “I was just worried the ring might cause some unnecessary misunderstanding. I only came to take it back. But since Miss Giovanni already lost it, it’s really no big deal. As long as you don’t take it the wrong way.”

Like hell he’d ask her to pay him back. Judging by Sebastian’s attitude right now, Jackson knew if he pushed this, he might not walk out in one piece.

Landyn couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

Sebastian really wasn’t just anyone–he was the King of Arms from the dark underworld of Fiorenza.

No wonder Jackson who never bowed to anyone, was acting like a total pushover.

Sebastian’s voice was low, almost lazy. “So, just to be clear, this whole thing was a misunderstanding? You’re saying you have zero interest in my sister?”

‘Zero interest…?‘ Jackson wondered.

Sebastian’s tone alone made Jackson’s chest tighten again.

Jackson’s scalp prickled. “Yes, absolutely zero interest! I have no interest in Ms. Giovanni whatsoever.”

If he even hinted otherwise, this would turn into a bloodbath.

“I swear, Mr. Giovanni. This was all a misunderstanding.”

Jackson regretted everything.

When the Harts and Chris were ganging up on Stephanie, he should’ve stepped in.

If he had, maybe Sebastian would owe him a favor right now.

But back then, Stephanie looked like a nobody–easy to push around. Who knew?

Sebastian lit a cigarette, took a drag, then tossed the pack at Jackson.
