Chapter 120

A cold glint flashed in Catlin’s eyes as she turned to Olivia. “What is she talking about? That thirty grand, who did you give it

10?”

Even a fool could tell Stephanie was referring to the money that had left Olivia’s account.

But how did she know?

Caught off guard, Olivia stammered, “Huh? Oh… I–I gave it to a scammer.”

“That’s the excuse she had used before, right?

Everything was happening too fast. She barely had time to think.

Catlin seized on her words. “You hear that? She was scammed!”

Stephanie let out a cold laugh. “Oh? You sure it wasn’t a payment to a murderer?”

The word “murderer” hit Olivia like a punch to the gut. She forgot to breathe.

Stephanie tilted her head slightly. “Elliot, didn’t you find out that the money actually went to a wanted killer?”

“That’s right,” Elliot confirmed. “An A–list fugitive.”

Stephanie clicked her tongue. “An A–list fugitive? Thirty grand? What was it for? Some kind of deal?”

Olivia’s mind exploded with a deafening buzz.

‘She knows, Stephanie knows everything

Panic gripped Olivia as she tried to process the fact that her secret was out.

Catlin, completely stunned, looked between Stephanie and Olivia. “Wait, what? Olivia, why the hell are you in contact with an A–list fugitive? Why did you give them money?”

T–L

“Yeah,” Stephanie pressed, her tone sharp. “Why, Olivia?”

With both women closing in, Olivia’s mind went blank.

One thought echoed in Olivia’s mind–she was screwed.

Her heart pounded wildly as she locked eyes with Stephanie. The pressure was too much. Her vision blurred, and before she could fight it, everything went black.

Catlin had been confused at first, but when Olivia collapsed in her arms, her lips turning pale and bluish, panic set in.

“Olivia! Olivia!” Catlin shrieked. “Somebody call a doctor! Now!”

Her voice rang out in hysteria.

Stephanie watched the scene unfold, utterly unimpressed. “Let’s go.”

“Yes, ma’am, Elliot responded, following her lead.

Even after they turned the corner, Catlin’s frantic screams echoed through the hallway, proof of just how much she cared
