Lin Mu stored the fragile ore into the ring and let Little Shrubby open up a path back outside. He couldn't sense anything else here that was useful thus it was fine to break a path open.

While it did seem like Little Shrubby was stuck, it wasn't exactly so. After all, the beast was strong enough to rip this entire place if he wanted to. The only reason he had not done so was due to Lin Mu's commands.
