All Mrs. Windsor could do was cry as she watched her daughter be hauled out of her hospital room. Thankfully, the police officers didn’t put cuffs on her daughter like they had with her because of Chloe’s injuries.

Felix stood in the hallway with wide eyes as he watched his mother and sister be hauled away by the police. He couldn’t do anything to stop it. Even though he was still mad at them for what they did and for keeping it from him for five years, a large lump developed in his throat. He didn’t want two members of his family to go to jail, but he had no idea how to stop it.

Two hours later, Chloe was sitting in an interrogation room with a cold cup of coffee in front of her. She glared at the glass window that she was facing, knowing that the officers were watching her through a one–way window, just waiting for her to break and confess to the crimes they had accused her of. But she wasn’t going to break. All she had to do was wait for her aunt,

Sarah was on the other side of the glass, staring at the girl who took her son away from her. There was a deep hatred growing in her heart that made her teeth grit together and her fists to clench. She wanted to punch a hole through the glass mirror.

When a detective finally entered the interrogation room, Chloe was ready for him. After he opened his manilla folder and presented her with concrete evidence that she was responsible for Russell’s death, Chloe just shook her head.

“I have nothing to say to you. I’m waiting for my representation,” she said calmly.
