He tightened his arms around me, making my stomach swoop. “Don’t apologize. I was perfectly content watching you sleep. Anyways it’s my fault that you’re so tired.” A slow smirk spread across his face. “I was the one who kept you up half the night yesterday.”

His comment made my whole body flush, and I opened the car door so I wouldn’t have to make eye contact with him. My legs trembled when I stood, and Alexander put his warm arm around my waist and helped me walk to the apartment building.

The night air was sharp and cold, making me shiver slightly. Alexander noticed and draped his jacket around my shoulders, engulfing me in his delicious scent.

“Thank you,” I muttered, blushing even more.
