Nora, who had been sitting in a chair, noticed that we were off the phone. She sprang up and ran over to Alexander, throwing her arms around him and saying that she was so glad that she found a brother who was going to take care of her.

Alexander gently moved away from her, trying to put space between them. I stepped in front of Alexander and guided Nora away from him.

“Nora,” I said gently. “Alexander isn’t your brother. And you have to respect people’s personal space, okay? Alexander doesn’t want to be hugged right now. You have to ask people before you hug them.”
