Alexander glanced down at his watch and looked at the sun, which was almost set. The sky was full of muted colors like pink, purple, and yellow.

“Olivia, now that I’ve ruined Ethan’s new plan to emotionally manipulate you, I should take you home,” Alexander said calmly.

“How dare you suggest that!” Ethan roared and took a step toward Alexander, but I shuffled in front of him.
