Chapter 927 All She Did Was Push Him Away

There was a heavy and somber air in the office. Elisa was slightly uncomfortable with such an atmosphere but walked to Gareth's desk and stared at him. "What's wrong with the project?"

Gareth's face was dark and ice-cold. He didn't glance at Elisa as his right hand clicked on the mouse. The dark computer screen lit up, and Elisa saw the data table through the glass reflection behind Gareth, but it wasn't clear.

"Come and take a look yourself."

Gareth's voice was cold. He sat in his chair and didn't move aside.

Elisa could clearly tell that there was a problem with the project. She wrinkled her brows slightly. Elisa had worked hard on the project's research. Now that it was in operation, she couldn't allow problems to occur!

She walked to computer at once, and was on Gareth's left. The two were very close, and Elisa was focused on the computer screen.

Gareth's body stiffened instantly when her faint scent attacked his nasal cavity, and his expression darkened.

Elisa looked at the data on the computer earnestly. She had only read two lines when she suddenly felt something around her waist. Before she could struggle, she was sitting on Gareth's lap!

Elisa's expression changed abruptly, and she struggled at once, but Gareth was powerful. He didn't give her a chance to get up at all. He wrapped her into his arms, and her sweet scent grew sharper.

Gareth's gaze dimmed.

"You're mad, Gareth Wickam!" Elisa had a nasty expression.

Gareth stared coldly at her. His voice was cold as if he was grinding his teeth. "You're so capable, Elisa Benett! You've done this with Will several times. Do you think I'm dead?"

She was enveloped in his arms.

But he was saying such infuriating words.

"You're mad! Let me go! What I do with Will has nothing to do with you. Gareth Wickam, we're divorced, and I won't remarry you! Your well-being has nothing to do with me!"

"Elisa Benett!"

In an instant!

The air in the room grew heavier!

Elisa couldn't feel any warmth from his arms, only coldness.

This hug.

She had looked forward to it for three whole years.

Although she looked forward to it before they married, she knew he wasn't hers, so she had no expectations. But after they signed the marriage certificate, she thought that they were legally husband and wife and she would be entitled to everything. Still, she didn't even get a hug.
