Chapter 962 In Need of Reputation

Nicole was in her office in Tabor Group when someone knocked on her door.

"Ms. Tabor."

Nicole regained her composure and lifted her eyes.

"Come in."

A formally-dressed secretary came in with a document in her hand.

"This is the document you requested. There's a meeting with the design department fifteen minutes later."

"Alright."

Perceiving no other instructions from Nicole, the secretary hummed in response and left.

Nicole rubbed her temples and glanced at the document.

She had heard of the recent changes in Benett Corporation and that Elisa had become the person in charge of the company.

She wondered what the company would become after Elisa took over the business. Will it thrive vigorously or experience a dreadful downturn? If that happens, will Gareth despise her? Will she eventually become a nobody?

Nicole pressed her lips. Neither of the speculations seemed possible.

She massaged her brows, took out her phone and clicked on the contact list.

There was only one contact number saved in her phone – Gareth's, not because she could not memorize his phone number, but because she wanted Gareth to be her one and only.

After hesitating for a moment, she dialed Gareth's number in a daze.

The call was picked up in no time. Nicole's body tensed up. She was a bundle of nerves as she did not expect Gareth to answer the call so soon.

However, before she could indulge in the thrill, Thomas' voice came forth.

"Hi, Ms. Tabor. It's Thomas here. Mr. Wickam is in a meeting. Is there anything urgent?"

Nicole and Gareth had numerous business partnerships, so Thomas assumed Nicole called Gareth to discuss work.

"How long will it take until the meeting ends?" Nicole did not expect Thomas to be the one answering the call, and her nervousness was dismissed immediately.

"The meeting has just started and will last at least an hour."

Nicole sighed inwardly as she was relieved. She did not call Gareth with any agenda and merely wanted to listen to his voice. Gareth might think she was weird if he knew she called randomly.

And so, Nicole was relieved that Gareth did not answer the call lest she annoyed him.

However, she was dejected at the same time because she had not talked to Gareth for a few days.
