Elisa frowned. If Will wanted to investigate, nothing would stop him from finding the results, not even Gareth's tight-lipped doctors. Does he really know something?

Elisa scrutinized Will. He seemed as he always did. She looked away, thought about it, and finally said, "I'm going to go."

"Okay." Will did not make any excuses to send her off.

The group separated into their cars.

Elisa thought about Will's gaze as she sat in the car. She hadn't thought much about it when her phone vibrated. She looked at it and noticed a Whatsapp message from Will.

Will: 'I know you have a lot going on right now. I know you care about the old woman's health. I won't bother you during this time. But that doesn't mean you're not in my mind. I will pursue you when the situation improves.'

Elisa's irises trembled. So, he does know. Does he also know I'm Mystic Orchid?

She blinked and tried to ignore the guilt.

She did not reply and deleted the message before anyone else could see it. She and Patricia rode back to the office in silence. When they got back, Elisa called a board of directors' meeting and brought up the topic.

The board found the proposal ridiculous but agreed because it was Will's decision. Also, the plan was devised by one of Will's friends, who's famous in the field. The meeting finished in the blink of an eye, and Elisa informed Will of the decision immediately after.

As she was about to return to her office, a plump middle-aged man walked toward Elisa. Elisa stopped after taking two steps, and the man came before her. His eyes no longer looked warm and gentle as they did or held the snobbishness they used to. Instead, the eyes were filled with unexplainable emotions and modesty.

"Elisa…" Norman whimpered.

Elisa stood motionless. She lowered the arm holding onto a blue file, and it landed next to her torso.

Norman glanced at the file and back to Elisa, "I came to ask a favor. I'm in a tight spot and might trouble you. But… I have no other choices. Can we talk in your office?"
