Chapter 132 Forgetting an Important Matter

Josephine exited the study and followed Conrad downstairs for dinner.

She sat at the dining table quietly while eating her dinner absent-mindedly. It was apparent that her eyes weren’t focused on anything at all.

When Conrad noticed her spacing out, he couldn’t help but frown. It was torturous for a young woman like her to stay home without company.

Josephine took a couple of bites before shaking her head, not wanting to eat anymore.

Conrad left once he was done cleaning up. Once again, Josephine was left alone in the huge

mansion.

She walked over to the couch and sat down. Then, she turned on the television and started. watching the cartoons.

Josephine had a feeling that she seemed to have forgotten something, but she couldn’t remember what it was.

She just stared at the television quietly while waiting for Lewis to return home, a habit she had developed.

Since she had yet to break her fever, her head was still in a muddled state.

Suddenly, her phone chimed with a loud notification sound. Josephine turned around to grab the phone from the couch. It turned out that Avery had sent her a text message.

“Josie, I’m in Flinton now,” the text wrote.

It was just a simple text message, but Josephine went into deep thought after reading it.

She responded by typing, “When did you leave?”

A few seconds later, Avery replied, “Yesterday, duh. I touched down today. Didn’t you pay attention to my Instagram feed? I was in Egraria yesterday.”

Josephine paused for a moment, still confused by Avery’s text messages. She texted, “When exactly did you leave Elysium? Why didn’t you tell me in advance?”

It was Avery’s turn to be silent.

A few minutes later, she finally texted Josephine, “Josie, are you alright?”

That sentence puzzled Josephine even more. She texted her reply immediately. “What’s wrong?”

At that moment, Avery’s brows were tangled in a deep frown. She wasn’t even sure if Josephine was the person she was texting right now.

Why would Josephine ask her about the exact date of her departure flight from Elysium?

Avery was silent for a moment before she finally keyed in her reply. “Don’t you remember anything from before?”
