Upon hearing Conrad’s response, more tears started rolling down the young woman’s cheeks.

Her fingers moved rapidly as she tried to express herself. The assistant had no idea what she was trying to say. It was one thing if he had to interpret one or two signs, but it was an entirely different story if he had to decipher an entire paragraph’s worth of gestures.

After spending some time staring at Josephine’s actions, Conrad squeezed out a smile and continued to console her. “Madam, don’t think too much, alright? Since Chairman Alvarez was able to hang on for so many days, he’ll certainly tough it out this time as well. I’m sure he’ll be fine.”

Josephine thought that Conrad made sense, but she couldn’t help but worry about Lewis.
