Chapter 0995

No one expected Mason, who was always in good health, to suddenly have a stroke. Madison now had no choice but to return to her hometown.

Sebastian knew that her avoiding him was just an unintended result of the situation. He couldn’t bring himself to push her too hard–if he did, she would probably end up crying again.

“Have you eaten yet?” he asked suddenly.

Madison froze for a moment. She was still trying to figure out how to explain things, but Sebastian changed the topic before she could answer.

Sebastian sighed. “Is there anything in the fridge?”

“I’m not sure.”

He went straight to the fridge and opened it without hesitation. It was as if he owned the place. To his relief, it was well–stocked with vegetables and meat. Rolling up his sleeves, he walked into the kitchen, picked a suitable pan, and turned on the stove.

Under her wide–eyed gaze, he handed her a fork. “Eat.”

“Oh!” Madison took her first bite, paused briefly, and then began eating faster. She finally spoke after finishing most of the plate in just a few bites. “Seb! This… this spaghetti is… oh my gosh… it’s too…”
