When we arrived at the Blessed Care Medical Facility, the medical staff had just emerged from the emergency room.

The director approached us, shaking his head in resignation. “Mr. Ferguson, Mrs. Ferguson, we did everything we could, but the illness progressed too rapidly. There was nothing more the doctors could do.”
