The atmosphere inside the car fell into a strange silence. Ella asked with a serious expression, “Olivia, did Miss Bush really break your hand that day?”
Olivia’s heart sank. She thought, Sure enough, under Gina’s instigation, Mom still has suspicions about me.

The phone rang again, and Gina answered it.

They arrived at the bar.
“Wait in the car for me. I should be out soon.” Gina said.
Gabriel watched Gina disappear before reluctantly turning away.
Gabriel thought to himself, I’m pursuing Gina, but I haven’t bought her any gifts yet. But I’m not sure what Gina would like. He then asked David, “What kind of gifts do women usually like?”
David was surprised. He’d never been in love, so he didn’t know the answer.
