Chapter 58
“Miss Bush, what are you doing?” Ella said.
She was scared silly
She tensed up, feeling at a loss for what to do. She was caught between wanting to intervene and feeling unable to.
“Get lost!” Jasmine said fiercely. “If you block me, I’ll beat you up tool The Bush family can afford the medical bills!”
She grabbed Olivia’s hair and hurled her to the floor.
Jasmine raised the baseball bat high and swung it at Olivia, I landed squarely on the cast on Olivia’s right hand. The cast shattered violently and the reactionary force caused Jasmine’s palin to hurt. Then, she vented her anger and prepared to hit Olivia’s right hand.
Olivia immediately retracted her right hand nimbly and dodged.
Her actions stunned Ella completely. She could not care less about anything else and asked Olivia with a trembling voice, “Is your hand alright?”
Jasmine gritted her teeth and said, “You b i t c h. You still claimed that I broke your right hand? Isn’t your right hand fine? Looks like I have to break your right hand today to make it a reality”
“No!” Olivia said. “Miss Bush, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have lied. Don’t hit me. Please don’t hit me
Olivia was truly frightened after getting beaten by Jasmine.
Ella looked at Olivia with disappointment. She had asked Olivia if the story about her hand being broken was a lie. Olivia started crying and expressing grievances instead, saying that Ella did not trust her, yet she was willing to listen to Gina and believe her.
Ella chose to believe Olivia because her heart ached, but Olivia lied to her again.
Olivia clearly knew that her family was anxious about the company’s matters and how much they needed her to come up with new jewelry design sketches to save Miller Group, yet she used lies to evade her responsibilities.
Ella even began to suspect many things, wondering if she had always been favoring Olivia’s perspective and trusting her too much, causing her to misunderstand her biological daughter, Gina.

Olivia had initially wanted to ask Ella for help, but she noticed that Ella was looking at her with disappointment. Her heart s k i p e d a beat.
Her intuition told her that Ella did not intend to intervene in this matter anymore.
Jasmine’s hand was still hurting after using the baseball bat to hit Olivia. When she saw Olivia kneeling on the floor and begging for mercy, her anger dissipated considerably. “Want me to spare you?” she said. “Sure. I quite like dogs. Why don’t you bark a few times and let me hear it? If I’m pleased, I’ll consider letting you go.”
Humiliation welled up in Olivia. She couldn’t bring herself to bark like a dog, but Jasmine was still looking at her mockingly with a sense of superiority.
“Take a beating or bark like a dog,” Jasmine said. “It’s your choice!”
Olivia wanted to cry, but she was unable to shed tears. After a long while, she said, “I’ll do it… Woof Woof! Woof!”
“Hahaha!” Jasmine laughed and felt much better.

Chapter 58
Olivia looked up and noticed that Jasmine was recording a video with her phone.
“Miss Bush?” she said.
“Next time, if you dare to cook up stories and spread rumors about me again, I’ll post this video,” Jasmine said.
She thought, Olivia and Gina are like two peas in a pod, causing Gabriel’s impression of me to go south. If I don’t fight back, Iwon’t be sumanied Bush. I’m dealing with Olivia first. Next, it’ll be Ginal
Jasmine let out a snort before turning around to leave.
Olivia was trembling with anger, but there was nothing she could do. She lifted her eyes to look at Ella, but Ella did not comfort or care about her. Ella even got up and left.
“Mom, I’m sorry.” Olivia said. “I shouldn’t have lied. I was just under too much pressure, and I didn’t have any inspiration. I was afraid of disappointing you all, so I had to pretend to be injured.”
Olivia stepped forward and grabbed Ella’s hand, trying to put up a pitiful front to regain Ella’s affection.
Ella said with a cold expression, “Let go.”
“Mom, didn’t you say that I’m your precious?” Olivia said. “You love me the most. You will forgive me, right?” Olivia cried. She wanted to lean on Ella’s shoulder, but Ella pulled her hand away and distanced herself from her.
“Reflect on yourself!” Ella said.
When Ella walked past the sofa, she saw Olivia’s phone there. On the screen was the chat interface with her attending orthopedic doctor, Nathan. Olivia mentioned going back for a follow-up checkup and asked Nathan to cooperate and continue lying to her family.
Ella was so disappointed that her heart ached. She went upstairs and entered her room, ignoring Olivia.
Olivia panicked and burst into tears.
She thought, ‘It’s all Gina’s fault! If it weren’t for her, Jasmine wouldn’t have targeted me!”
She wished she could teach Gina a lesson.
Noah spent some time with James and Liam in the hospital for a while. When he returned home, he saw his precious sister sitting on the floor and crying intensely.
