Olivia heaved a sigh of relief. Fortunately, Mason was st*pid. She managed to fool him with a simple excuse. “Alright, help me buy the rat poison first. I want those with potent chemical properties. We can’t let those rats survive.”
Mason felt that Olivia’s tone was a little strange. It was as if she despised rats. It was understandable to hate those rodents, but her hatred looked excessive. The hatred in her eyes was as if she wanted to tear the rat into pieces. Mason knew she wouldn’t display such a resentful gaze even if she hated rats.
Curious, Mason asked, “Did a rat once bite you?”
The corner of Olivia’s eyes twitched. “I was almost bitten. Rats are so disgusting. So, hurry up and buy a rat poison. Please, I beg you!”

The blond man knocked on the door of Olivia’s apartment unit. But there was no answer.

When Olivia called him, he was busy and didn’t have the patience to listen to her. Besides, he never liked to talk on the phone, so he came to look for Olivia. To his surprise, Olivia was hot home.
Forget it I guess it’s nothing important. He could only blame himself for making this trip. He had been recruiting Olivia for so long, but Olivia hadn’t done anything impressive. He wanted to reconsider his decision. As how he abandoned Cole, he thought he had to fire Olivia. The man didn’t want to hire people who did nothing.
The next day, Cathy packed the freshly fried pumpkin pie and prepared to give them to Cina. She had specially asked Gina the day before if she would come to Medicine Land before preparing them.
After getting ready, Cathy went into the bedroom to wake Andy up. “Andy, didn’t you promise to send me to work this morning? Why are you still sleeping? Didn’t you go to bed early last night?”

Cathy sighed and frowned. “Don’t feel pressured anymore because of the repair fees. Didn’t I tell you we’ll go through this together?”
Andy looked very touched as he hugged Cathy. “My dear, I’m so glad I have you!”

Andy stretched his body. His mind was still in a daze. Last night, he slept with Olivia again. Moreover, it was in the living room of their rented house. Cathy told Andy to stop when they arrived at a nearby intersection. Surprised, he asked, “Why don’t you let me send you to the entrance of Medicine Land?”
“Miss Miller won’t allow it. Just drop me off here. Hurry up and go to work, Cathy said as she left the car.
“What a strange policy,” Andy muttered and left.
When Cathy arrived at the surveillance room of Medicine Land she saw Gina and was surprised. “Miss Miller, how did you get here so quickly? Do you want to see the growth of the medicinal herb? I can take you there.”
Gina shook her head. Tve already seen it just now. You said you have something for me. What is it?”
“She’s waiting for me on purpose?” Cathy was flattered and presented a box. “I made a pastry. Today, it’s pumpkin pie!!
Gina opened it and took a look. The pumpkin pie’s color was vibrant. It was still warm from the oven and smelled fragrant She wondered if it tasted as good as it looked.
Cathy looked at Gina expectantly. “Miss Miller, when you said I’m a good baker, I was flattered. But the thing is, my boyfriend doesn’t like to eat pastry, yet my hands are always itching to make one. Do you want to take it?”
“Alright, I’d love to.” Gina accepted it.
Cathy was joyful to hear it. “Great! I’ll return to work then.”
“Go ahead.”
After receiving the pumpkin pie, Gina left Medicine Land. Gabriel sent a message asking what she was doing and Gina took a photo of the pumpkin pie before sending it to Gabriel.
Gina: [Want to try it together?]
Gabriel replied within seconds, Gabriel: [Sure, where are you? I pick you up.]
Gina: [Don’t I’ll meet you at Jackson Group, okay?]
