Chapter 585 Everything Is Cause and Effect

The thin–rimmed glasses reflected a blinding gleam; his eyes were like a cold, desolate ocean, dark, deep, and chilling to the bone. Jean’s heart gave a sudden jolt. The man didn’t speak; he simply stared at her.

Then, his gaze shifted. Jean followed it, and what she saw made her blood run cold.

Sienna lay on the ground, her face pale, seemingly unconscious. On the other side, her brothers were slumped on the floor, knees bent, heads bowed.

They looked unconscious too, not a single movement, not even the slightest reaction to the disturbance around them.
