Chapter 149

Victor didn't really mind as he drove away from Cresthaven General Hospital, heading toward Cresthaven Memorial Hospital.

Halfway there, as if struck by a sudden thought, he pulled over in front of a florist

shop.

Being a weekend, the shop was bustling with people buying flowers.

Victor, dressed casually yet stylishly, was tall, handsome, and exuded an air of nonchalance with his meticulously groomed hair. From head to toe, he seemed to embody a carefree spirit.

The shop assistant noticed him immediately and welcomed him with a cheerful smile. "Are you buying flowers for someone special, sir?"

"Yes," he replied lazily.

Since he was going to visit Claire, it would be impolite to show up empty-handed.

She was in such a pitiful state, and a bouquet of fresh flowers might just cheer her up.

The truth was, he had never shown her much kindness in the past. Today, he saw this hospital visit as an opportunity to offer a floral apology for his previous demeanor.

But being the proud Mr. Lewis, an outright apology was out of the question. The assistant asked again, "Are the flowers for a lady or a gentleman?"
