Chapter 210

Vanessa's mind was a whirlwind of distressing thoughts, haunted by memories of Claire's harrowing time in prison. The Foster family wielded immense power, and with Sean's vindictive nature, it would be all too easy for them to orchestrate her demise behind bars.

"No, please, no!" Vanessa thrashed wildly, but the bodyguards effortlessly pinned her down again. Her voice cracked as she screamed, fear etched into her features. "Mr. Foster, it was an accident! I can pay you back. Just call my parents -they'll send the money right away. Please, don't send me to prison."

Tears streamed down her pale cheeks, unchecked and relentless.

Sean seemed unfazed by her pleas. He turned to Claire, his gaze softening in an instant, as if the cold, ruthless man from moments before was someone entirely different. "Is this what you wanted?" he asked gently.

Claire stared at him, bewildered. In that moment, she understood Sean's motivation. He intended to give Vanessa a taste of her own medicine, to seek justice on Claire's behalf for the suffering Vanessa had caused her in the past. Under Sean's protection, the painful memories of being bullied and wrongfully imprisoned by Vanessa began to fade.
