Chapter 390

Inside the small apartment, Sophia and Garnett Brown were chatting idly when a sudden knock at the door made them both freeze. They exchanged uneasy

glances.

Garnett's voice carried a hint of caution as he called out, "Who is it?"

Mandy, standing outside, lowered her voice and put on a convincing act. "Your delivery's here."

At that, the tension melted away. Both Sophia and Garnett let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh, that was quick! I didn't expect our dinner to arrive so soon," Sophia remarked.

"I'll get it," Garnett said as he stood up.

He made his way to the door and pulled it open, only to see a petite

deliverywoman standing in the dimly lit hallway. She wore a mask that obscured most of her face, but it was clear from her build that she was female.

Garnett relaxed completely. "Hand it over, please."
