“No…” Sherilyn shook her head, raising her hand. While he had stepped away for just a moment, she had already wrapped her hand with a handkerchief, albeit hastily. Now, she was much more composed.

Facing Gilbert, whose face darkened with anger, she said, “It looks worse than it is, really. I’m fine, thanks for your help.” Her tone was cool and distant.
