"Uh?" David was taken aback, "Ms. Sherilyn..." "David, relax."

Sherilyn smiled gently, explaining, "You go ahead. I came straight from the hospital to the dance studio this morning. I need a shower and to change clothes. If Gilbert asks, just tell him I'll be a bit late."

"Oh, I see." David sighed in relief, "Then I'll deliver the stuff first. Call me before you leave, and I'll come pick you up."

"Thanks, David."

"No problem."

After sending David off, Sherilyn turned and went upstairs to grab some clothes from the wardrobe before heading to the bathroom.

Her excuse was genuine; she really did need to freshen up.

As she was drying her hair after the shower, Sherilyn couldn't stop yawning, tears streaming down her face from exhaustion.

Exiting the bathroom, she felt dizzy and collapsed onto the bed.

The moment her head hit the pillow, sleep overwhelmed her. She thought, just a little nap, just couldn't keep her eyes open anymore. With her eyes shut, she drifted off to sleep.

David delivered the suitcase to the hospital room, where a nurse was changing Gilbert's IV bag.

He glanced over his shoulder, not seeing Sherilyn. "Where's Sherilyn?" he asked.
